At CBPS we believe that fluent and creative problem solvers will be able to apply mathematical concepts confidently to real life situations. Our whole school approach is to provide students with engaging mathematical activities where students work collaboratively with their peers. This approach allows students to investigate tasks, using their mathematical understanding, whilst the teacher challenges their thinking.

Mathematics at CBPS is driven by the Maths Improvement Committee who provide regular training for all staff to implement these activities and ideas into every classroom. The Maths Committee also work closely with classroom teachers to look at the individual student data to ensure all students are showing growth in mathematics.
